CHOOSE YOUR HEALTHCARE SETTING

A cleaning plan for your setting.

Choose your sector to see its cleaning priorities, scheduling options and the details we need for your proposal.

01

Cleaning coordinated across your clinic.

Medical centre & clinic cleaning

From outpatient appointments to specialist consultations, a medical centre can have several services sharing one building. We plan environmental cleaning around each department, its opening hours and the areas your team authorises us to access.

Cleaning priorities for medical centres

  • Reception counters, self-check-in surrounds and waiting-room seating, with touch points identified in the specification.
  • Consultation and examination-room floors, handwash surrounds and agreed non-clinical surfaces.
  • Shared corridors, lifts and accessible washrooms serving different departments.
  • Staff offices, meeting rooms and refreshment areas, with secure rooms accessed only by agreement.

One plan for multiple departments

At the survey, we map room use, shared facilities and restricted areas with your facilities or clinic manager. Each department can have its own task list, with clear handovers where rooms are used by different services.

Visits around clinic sessions

Discuss evening cleaning after the last clinic, early access before opening and separately specified daytime checks for busy shared areas. Periodic floor care can be planned around department closures.

What we need for your proposal

Tell us the departments on site, consultation-room numbers, public opening hours and any areas requiring an escort or additional access controls.

02

Ready for the next practice day.

GP surgery cleaning

A GP practice needs a clear cleaning routine around consultations, nurse-led appointments and reception activity. We work with your practice manager to define room responsibilities and keep routine environmental cleaning organised around the appointment book.

Cleaning priorities for GP surgeries

  • Patient entrance, reception screens and counters, waiting-room chairs and door handles.
  • Consulting-room floors and agreed furniture surfaces, with confidential records left undisturbed.
  • Nurse and treatment-room environmental surfaces expressly assigned to the cleaning team.
  • Patient toilets, accessible facilities, staff kitchens and back-office areas.

A practical practice-manager handover

The specification can separate public areas, consulting rooms and nurse treatment rooms. Agreed completion records and a reporting route help the practice manager identify missed tasks and arrange follow-up.

Work around booked appointments

Plan the main clean before opening or after the final appointment. If the practice runs extended hours or vaccination sessions, tell us so we can discuss access and additional cleaning requirements.

What we need for your proposal

Share your consulting and treatment-room numbers, surgery opening times, preferred keyholding arrangements and whether any daytime cleaning support is required.

03

Considerate cleaning in someone’s home.

Care home & nursing home cleaning

Resident rooms and communal spaces need a service that respects everyday life. We plan cleaning with your home manager around meals, rest, visiting and personal care, with room entry and resident preferences built into the agreed routine.

Cleaning priorities for care homes

  • Resident bedrooms and en suites within the agreed scope, respecting belongings and room-access preferences.
  • Communal lounges, dining-room surfaces and visitor areas, timed around their use.
  • Handrails, lift controls, door plates and shared bathrooms throughout the home.
  • Periodic carpet, upholstery and hard-floor work assessed for occupied areas and suitable drying times.

Resident dignity and safe access

Agree how cleaners introduce themselves, obtain room access and report concerns to the care team. Equipment placement, wet-floor controls and product storage are planned with the home manager for occupied spaces.

Fit the home’s daily rhythm

Bedroom visits can follow resident routines, while dining areas are scheduled around meal service. Any room-turnaround clean or additional work during an infection incident needs a separately agreed scope and access plan.

What we need for your proposal

Tell us your bedroom and en-suite numbers, shared-space layout, preferred cleaning hours and the areas covered by your own housekeeping team.

04

A clear division between premises and clinical care.

Dental practice cleaning

Dental practices need environmental cleaning coordinated with the dental team’s own between-patient procedures. We agree exactly which areas and surfaces our cleaners cover, with responsibilities for clinical equipment clearly recorded.

Cleaning priorities for dental practices

  • Reception desks, waiting-room seating and patient-facing doors and touch points.
  • Dental surgery floors and non-clinical surfaces specifically included in the practice specification.
  • Patient washrooms, staff changing areas, kitchens and internal circulation routes.
  • Scheduled edge, skirting and detailed floor cleaning when surgeries are available for access.

Clinical duties stay clearly assigned

Instrument decontamination, sterilisation, dental unit waterlines and between-patient clinical procedures remain with the practice’s authorised team. Our environmental task list records the agreed boundary, including access restrictions around decontamination rooms.

Clean after the clinical session

Discuss evening or early-morning visits around chair availability and opening hours. Periodic work can be scheduled on non-clinical days so rooms are available when the practice needs them.

What we need for your proposal

Share your number of dental surgeries, clinical session times, floor finishes and which environmental surfaces your dental team wants included.

CLEAR TASKS. CLEAR RESPONSIBILITIES.

A practical approach to healthcare hygiene.

Cleanliness is part of everyday care. We agree the cleaning scope with your responsible lead, taking account of your infection prevention and control policy and the guidance relevant to your setting.

01

Room-by-room schedules

Define areas, tasks, frequency and ownership, including the boundary between environmental cleaning and clinical duties.

02

Methods matched to the site

Agree colour-coded equipment, product suitability, contact times, PPE and safe storage in your site instructions.

03

Records and quality reviews

Specify completion records, inspection arrangements and how missed tasks or concerns are reported and followed up.

04

Respect for people and access

Plan around patients and residents, restricted rooms, confidential information and safe working in occupied areas.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Healthcare cleaning FAQs.

Planning a new cleaning contract?
Talk to us on 020 7183 5531.

Which healthcare premises can you clean?

We can discuss cleaning for GP surgeries, medical centres, private clinics, dental practices, care homes and nursing homes across London. A site survey establishes the areas, tasks and access arrangements before a service is agreed.

Can cleaning be arranged outside patient appointment times?

Early morning, evening and weekend cleaning can be discussed. We plan around consultation sessions, treatment times, visiting hours and resident routines, with any daytime touch-point cleaning specified separately.

Can you help with cleaning records for CQC inspections?

We can agree written cleaning schedules, completion records, inspections and follow-up actions as part of the contract. These can support your evidence of cleanliness management. Your organisation retains responsibility for its regulatory compliance; a cleaning contract cannot guarantee a CQC outcome.

Does dental practice cleaning include sterilising instruments?

This page covers environmental cleaning. Instrument decontamination, sterilisation, dental unit waterlines and other clinical equipment procedures remain with your authorised clinical team unless a separate, appropriate service has been expressly agreed.

How often should a GP surgery or care home be cleaned?

Frequency depends on the activity, patient or resident needs, contamination risks and the area being cleaned. We agree a room-by-room schedule with your responsible lead, including daily tasks, touch points and periodic work.

Are cleaning products and equipment included?

Products, equipment and consumables can be included where agreed. The proposal specifies who supplies each item. Products and methods are selected with your site lead for the surfaces and risks involved, following manufacturer instructions.

How much does healthcare cleaning in London cost?

The price depends on the floor area, room types, required hours, visit frequency, access arrangements and agreed tasks. Request a survey for an itemised proposal covering regular cleaning and any additional periodic work.

Can you arrange a deep clean for our premises?

Tell us the areas, reason for the clean and any known infection risks. We assess the scope with your responsible lead and confirm suitable methods, availability and pricing before accepting the work. Outbreak-related work requires a specific assessment.

Cleaning standards and useful guidance

CQC Regulation 15 addresses cleanliness of premises and equipment. NHS England publishes the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025. Your responsible lead should identify the guidance applicable to your service; we can discuss how the agreed cleaning specification supports your arrangements.
